Our Partnership with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown
University
The Miriam Hospital is a major teaching hospital of The Warren Alpert
Medical School of Brown University and serves as an on-site training
facility for medical students, residents and fellows. There is an active
cardiology fellowship-training program at The Miriam and Rhode Island
hospitals. Cardiology fellows rotate through the CCU, cardiac
catheterization and non-invasive laboratories, offer consultative and
electrophysiologic services and work in conjunction with attending
cardiologists who hold faculty appointments at The Warren Alpert Medical
School of Brown University. More than half the current cardiologists in
Rhode Island are graduates of this fellowship-training program and thus,
it has an important role in training future cardiologists for the state
and the region.
